from Perth to New York.
He loves performing at weddings and works very hard to
ensure that its a special night for you both.
Ric's repertoire is very extensive and spans 5 decades.
He promises to keep the music at a comfortable level
so your guests can converse through dinner.
There are many aspects to this versatile International
Artist.
Ric can perform some of his inimitable concert pieces
on the Grand Piano the piano through dinner, or he can
do a Billy Joel type act accompanying himself on Piano
as he sings some of your favourite hits by well known
artists such as Phil Collins, Frank Sinatra, Nat King
Cole,
Neil Diamond & others, just to name a few.
Ric also performs in an intimate cocktail lounge setting
with a unique blend of Jazz, Blues, Contemporary &
Popular & is continuously adding new material to his
ever increasing repertoire.
Ric's music is exclusively distributed by the Leading
Edge Music Group in Australia. His instrumental album
entitled..."Simply Magic", & his latest vocal
album..."The Kid from Brooklyn" demonstrates the
versatility of this
remarkable artist.
Ric also has a ample supply of his music available

In addition to Ric's beautiful singing & playing, he
also offers his services as your MC/Compare and will
perform a floor show to backing tracks in true Las Vegas
style.
In the course of his show, Ric will randomly choose
female guests from the audience to serenade with those
romantic
ballads made famous by artists such as Julio Iglesias,
Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Harry Connick
Jr.
& others.

About Ric

Ric Stern was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has
performed on stage since age 5. However, Ric's formal
career in music did not begin till age 15, when he
joined a newly formed rock band in High School.
Prior to and during this period, Ric was studying to
become a classical concert pianist, gaining confidence &
recognition while performing recitals throughout Long
Island, New York.
Between 1968 & 1973, Ric attended various universities
to add formal qualifications to his ever-increasing
resume.
Whilst at uni, he performed at College Campus Coffee
Houses with some of the days aspiring young talents.
Amongst
them, was one of today's megastars of both Stage &
Screen: Billy Crystal.
Ric subsequently formed many bands himself & began
coaching his colleagues to a professional standard. This
added yet another dimension to the Entertainer's musical
prowess.
Aspiring to broaden his experience & exposure, Ric worked
a variety of gigs from the renowned Playboy Clubs of New
York, New Jersey & Miami Beach to the Catskill Mountain
Resorts.
Upon immigrating to Western Australia, Ric's love of
Popular Music and ambition to resume his solo-performing
career
compelled him to resume writing his own music.
It was not long before the American Singer/Pianist
received the recognition & acclaim that he had been
searching for in his own country.
In 1992, Ric Stern released his 1st solo album entitled
Simply Magical. Ric's humble beginnings have been
chronicled
in a book entitled Working Musicians, published by the
Fremantle Arts Centre Press, and is available in
paperback in
most leading book stores.
In 1996, Ric was honoured as a Composer/Lyricist by
being admitted to A.P.R.A., (Australasian Performing
Rights
Association) as a fully accredited International Writer
Member.
In 1985, whilst performing regular spots on Perth's
Channel T.V.W. 7, Ric toured parts of Western Australia.
The highlights of his tour were engagements at the Ship
Resort of Bussleton, Skipper's of Mandurah', the 'Lord
Forrest Hotel of Bunbury, & Sylvestera's Nightclub of
Kalgoorlie.
His tour culminated with the America's Cup Extravaganza at
the Lombardo Fishing Harbour.
In 1986, Ric returned to the U.S.A. for a three-month
tour. The highlights of his tour included engagements at
Hawaii
largest resort on Waikiki Beach, the Hawaiian Regent; in
New York, it was the Garden City Hotel, where many of
Hollywood's well known movie stars & socialites
gathered; and in Florida, 'Mr Laffs of Ft Lauderdale.
In July 98, Ric resumes his World Tour with a 3-month
resident contract at the famed Lai Lai Sheraton Hotel in
Taipei,
Taiwan, R.O.C.
In August of 99, Ric & Co-author Alan Brayne composed
the theme song to the new Channel 31 T.V. Series Balls &
All, a program focusing on youth in local sports.

In Jan 2000, Ric sets off on another American Tour after
a 14-year absence. The pace was furious, as Ric hit 22
cities from Los Angeles to New York via Chicago, then on
to Florida via New Orleans, in just 6 short weeks.
The highlights of his tour were engagements at the famed
Observatory in the John Hancock Building in Chicago,
Jazz on the Park in New York City, The Story ville Jazz
Club in New Orleans, & the Coral Springs Civic Centre in
Florida.
The year is 2003, and Ric has decided that his daughter
Nicole Marie is ready to make her stage debut.
An enthusiastic & appreciative audience applauds the Duo
as they perform a season at His Majesty's Theatre in
Cabaret Soiree.
Later that year, Ric returns to Burswood's International
Room by popular demand. Concurrently, he takes on the
challenge of entertaining the Legal Eagles at the Kings
Perth Hotel.
It is now 2004, & Ric must return to the USA for his
Mom's 75th Birthday & to spend the 1st Xmas with his
family in
23 years. The entertainer is compelled to combine
business with pleasure by doing a few select gigs.
The highlights are: Appearances at the Roses Turn Piano
Bar Night Club in Greenwich Village, New York and the
Pine
Island Country Club, Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

Ric became a Dual National in 2004 by taking up
Australian Citizenship. He now calls Australia home, &
is back working Perth's top venues: Rendezvous
Observation City Hotel, The Sheraton Perth Hotel, The
Seasons of Perth,
The Parmelia Hilton, & The "C" Restaurant on the 33rd
level of the St Martin's Tower.
The year is now 2008 & Ric has found his Soul Mate Mary.
They are wed on August 23rd, 2008 & set off on a 5-week
Honeymoon.
Ric promised his bride that he would try & suppress his
passion for entertaining whilst on holidays.
However, circumstances beyond his control had him doing
10 shows with the famed Vojteck Rolak Quartet & one
solo performance on two Caribbean Cruises aboard the
largest Cruise Ship in the World Freedom of the Seas.
The response was so overwhelming, that Ric & Mary have
decided to spend the next few years at sea.
There are three aspects to Ric's Performance. Firstly,
you will find the Piano Man at the Grand Piano in the
true style of Billy Joel entertaining guests with a
cavalcade of #1 hits from the world's most popular
artists.
The 2nd aspect of Mr Stern's performance has him dressed
in a tuxedo with all the grandeur of the late great
Liberace, playing a selection of his inimitable
renditions of quasi-classical & popular songs spanning 5
decades of music.
The 3rd dimension involves the use of a wireless
microphone & a stage of some description, where he
performs his favourite cabaret period after selections
in the style of the late great Frank Sinatra, Ric
carefully chooses guests from amongst his audience to
serenade, as he creates a very special & memorable
evening for one and all.
